WTA Rankings Winners and Losers French Open: Coco Gauff new No 2, Jasmine Paolini top 10, Karolina Muchova -19
With bigger points up for grabs, the Grand Slams are always the events to watch when it comes to ranking movements.
This year’s French Open has been no different, with some key surges – and key drops – in the WTA Rankings set to take place after the tournament concludes.
We take you through the biggest winners and losers of the WTA Rankings ahead of action culminating in the women’s final on Saturday.
WTA Rankings (w/c June 3rd, 2024)
1) Iga Swiatek – 11,695
2) Aryna Sabalenka – 8,138
3) Coco Gauff – 7,638
4) Elena Rybakina – 5,673
5) Jessica Pegula – 4,550
6) Marketa Vondrousova – 4,143
7) Maria Sakkari – 3980
8) Zheng Qinwen – 3,945
9) Ons Jabeur – 3,748
10) Danielle Collins – 3,472
No matter what, Swiatek was guaranteed to stay as world No 1 after the tournament, with the Pole comfortably clear at the top.
However, the world No 2 ranking was up for grabs between Sabalenka and Gauff, with Sabalenka having semi-final points to defend, and Gauff only quarter-final points.
There was also the possibility of further movement within the top 10, with little between world No 5 Pegula – who missed the event – and world No 9 Jabeur.

Big Winners
The biggest winner is undoubtedly Paolini, who is guaranteed to crack the top 10 for the first time after her stunning run to the final.
Paolini is currently world No 7 in the live rankings, but she will be at world No 5 if she beats Swiatek in the final.
