Travis Kelce Posts Sweet TikTok for Dad Ed on Father’s Day: ‘Happy Father’s Day Big Guy!!’
Travis Kelce gave his dad Ed a special shout-out on Father’s Day.
Kelce, 34, posted a sweet TikTok of video clips dedicated to his dad, showing Ed supporting him and his brother, Jason Kelce, during various outings over the last year.
“Happy Father’s Day big guy!!,” the Chiefs tight end wrote in his caption. Kelce set the various video clips to the song “The Nights” by Avicii.
Ed is seen wearing a Kelce’s Car Jam t-shirt in one clip and is rocking his son’s No. 87 jersey while cheering for his son at Chiefs games in the compilation video.
In one clip, Ed is supporting his son at an event for the athlete’s foundation, Eighty Seven and Running.
The TikTok also shows Ed joining Travis and Jason on stage at a live event for their podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, in April.
The fun live show ended up becoming a “surprise commencement” ceremony for the brothers at the University of Cincinnati on April 11, and Ed joined the boys on stage for the special moment alongside their mom, Donna Kelce.
Jason, 36, and Travis both graduated from the university, but after joining the NFL. Travis earned a degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2022 and Jason got a bachelor’s degree in marketing, per the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Donna and Ed have become popular with the NFL star’s fanbase, especially after befriending his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Ed was first seen sitting next to Swift, 34, in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium on Oct. 12, during the Kansas City Chiefs home game against the Denver Broncos.
Shortly after, Ed exclusively spoke to PEOPLE about the singer, revealing that it was actually Swift’s NYU commencement speech in 2022 that “confirmed” his “initial impression of her” that “she’s a very genuine, down-to-earth” person.
“She’s America’s girl,” Ed said of Swift in October, adding that his ex-wife Donna is “America’s football mom.”
Donna and Ed separated after Travis and Jason graduated from college. In the 2023 Prime Video Sports documentary, Kelce, Ed and Donna opened up about choosing to stay together for as long as they did for the benefit of their sons.
“If we had split as we probably both would have preferred, that would have been a nightmare with the logistics, getting kids where they had to be and providing all the support,” Ed explained in the film.
“Just trying to keep it all together when you’re being a parent,” Donna added. “It’s tough.”
When it comes to the spotlight, Ed told PEOPLE in October that he’s happy to support his sons in the public eye, but isn’t looking to become “America’s football dad.”
“I think there’s no shortage of football dads in this country. I think the moms got a leader here with Donna. We’ll just let it go with that,” he said.
