Taylor Swift Dropped the First Reputation (Taylor’s Version) Preview in an NFL Docuseries
Now that the Swifties have officially infiltrated the NFL, what better place for Taylor Swift to preview Reputation (Taylor’s Version) than on a documentary series about the New England Patriots? If there are any football guys out there who are still sore about this, by the way, it’s time to recognize that you’ve lost the battle.
An episode of the Apple TV+ series The Dynasty: New England Patriots, features a sneaky preview of the rerecorded version of “Look What You Made Me Do,” according to People. The song plays in the background as wide receiver Danny Amendola talks about Tom Brady’s Reputation era—which came after a lot of finger pointing about underinflated footballs. “The king is back. Here he goes. Watch him get pissed off and go,” says Amendola, to the tune of “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version).”
The original track, of course, was Swift’s response to a variety of controversies, accusations, and snake emoji that had been thrown her way in the first half of her career. And now she’s emerged even better and more powerful than before. So I guess what The Dynasty is saying here is that Tom Brady is kind of like the Taylor Swift of football.
