Sofia Vergara keeps it casual as she enjoys lunch date with gal pal in LA

Some seven weeks out from major knee surgery, Sofia Vergara made her way to a lunch date with a gal pal in West Hollywood.

The actress and television personality, 51, showed she has taken huge steps forward in her recovery in the wake of the operation on her right knee.

With the health of her right on her mind, the Modern Family alum decided to wear a pair of thick-soled white sneakers to go along with her casual ensemble consisting of baggy, denim cargo pants and a red blouse with a long tie.

For the outing she had her light brown lock styled long, straight and flowing over her shoulders and down past the middle of her back with a center part.

She accessorized with cool dark sunglasses and a black purse over her left shoulder.

Situated at the corner of the corner of Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard, Vergara seemed to be in good spirits when she met up with her friend at Cecconi’s restaurant

The establishment is known for its modern day classic Italian dishes such as hand-made pasta and seafood.

Standing outside the restaurant, her friend looked classy in an off-white pants with a matching turtleneck top with black stripes, brown flats and her blonde tresses down past her shoulders and feathered back with a center part.

Vergara also took to her Instagram page, where she shared a couple of photos from their lunch date showing their was a third party at their table.

It turns out she brought the newest four-legged member to her family, her new Chihuahua Amore, out to eat with her in a carrying bag.

The first pictured showed the two ladies posing for the camera in a selfie that showed Amore in between the women while sitting in the carrying bag, which was now open.

A second photo caught the pet pooch sitting above the table with two large strawberry dessert dishing on the table just inches away.

‘Happy Memorial Day weekend to all!!’ she wrote in the caption of the doggie post.
