SELF-CONSCIOUS STAR Sofia Vergara admits Griselda sex scene fears over ‘cellulite’ as star worried she’d look ‘horrific’ in front of cameras

The star still has insecurities despite being admired by millions.

SOFIA Vergara was worried about her “cellulite” and how her body looked ahead of filming her first sex scenes in her Netflix hit show, Griselda.

The actress, 51, played the main role in the fictional dramatization of Griselda Blanco’s story from a struggling mom to becoming “the Godmother” of Miami’s drug empire.

Sofia had been in talks to take on the project for 15 years and it was finally released in early 2024, marking a new era for Sofia.

But despite years in the TV industry filming Modern Family and other projects, the idea of being shot half-naked for a romantic moment left her losing sleep.

In the show, Griselda is seen in bed with her husband Dario Sepulveda, played by actor Alberto Guerra, as the pair get down to business in the bedroom.

During a Netflix FYSEE event on Sunday, A Conversation With Sofia Vergara, in Los Angeles, the actress was asked if there was ever a moment she felt she may be out of her depth.

“The sex scene. I don’t think I’ve ever done like a sex scene. With Jay [in Modern Family] I didn’t do anything,” she laughed, referencing the character played by 78-year-old Ed O’Neill.

Sofia went on, “I’m 50! I mean, when I was 30, I wouldn’t have worried. I think I was worried that I was going to look horrific.

“I was like, ‘Where are they shooting me? The cellulite? From the side. Uh, I’m vain I guess. That one kept me awake I think.”

But she was happy with the result, saying, “It came out good. It’s really dark and Andy, the director, is very artistic and he made me feel super comfortable and he’s like, ‘We’re never going to stay like a long time on you [the camera].”
