King Charles leaves Queen Camilla, royal aides worried about his health

King Charles III has reportedly left Queen Camilla and other royals concerned about his health as heramped up plans for a royal tour amid his battle with cancer.

The monarch’s decision to speed up his royal engagements has rocked the Buckingham Palace as royal aides and well-wishers have asked the King to focus on his health.

The Queen, 76, is reportedly among those urging the 75-year-old monarch to “slow down,” amid ongoing fears about his health.

Camilla may “put her foot down” as the King seems determined to continue his hectic work. According to a source, the 76-year-old is concerned the King might exhaust himself by taking on too many public engagements.

“She has been trying to encourage him to slow down. Of course, he wants to keep cracking on, but she is afraid that doing too much could set him back,” a friend of the Queen has claimed.

The King is said to be determined to push ahead with a tour to Australia, followed by a trip to Samoa for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, due to take place in mid-October.

The Palace has confirmed the Prince William and Harry’s father is planning for the trip continues.

Camilla’s friend told The Daily Beast: “I do wonder if Camilla will support him going to Australia. She is not the type to put her foot down, but she might say, ‘Come on now darling, is this really sensible?”

The King seems to be unstoppable since he has returned to his usual work. Last week he hosted a garden party for 7,000 people at Buckingham Palace, and on Monday he visited an army base for an emotional joint engagement with his son, Prince William, and handed over a key military role to him.

The move came a few days after Charles was reportedly too busy to see Prince Harry when the latter was in London. The monarch attended many public facing duties though out the week. The most recently he attended the Order of the British Empire service at St Paul’s Cathedral.

King Charles’ official birthday celebrations will take place next month, known as Trooping the Colour. It is being claimed that the monarch to attend on horseback, although he may be persuaded to use a state carriage for the occasion.
