Princess Eugenie wins back royal family’s trust
Prince Andrew’s daughter Eugenie removed from royal family’s black list
Princess Eugenie, who raised eyebrows with her decision to host Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at her Portugal home last year, has been removed from the royal family’s “black list”, according to a new report.
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s youngest daughter Eugenie, who’s considered a very close friend of her cousin Prince Harry, has regained the royal family’s trust as she turned her back on the Duke by teaming up with Prince William.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie had remained close to the Sussexes since the pair moved to the US. Eugenie was the first member of the Royal Family that Harry introduced to Meghan after they began dating.
However, it seems that the royal sisters may be distancing themselves from the Sussexes as they sent a strong message to Harry by not attending the Duke’s London event.
The Princesses of York seemingly rubbed salt into Harry’s wound with their bombshell decision of attending the garden party at the Buckingham Palace to support Prince William.
Eugenie also made a powerful statement after attending the event, highlighting the importance of “supporting family”.
A royal insider said: “Bea and Eugenie can’t imagine what William is going through right now, and it was an honour for them to give him some support. The York sisters were determined not to let him down.”
The insiders told Woman’s Day that the Princesses of York are “overjoyed” to be taking a more active role in the family, especially since Eugenie was on an “blacklist” after hosting Harry and Meghan at her Portugal home last year.
The source added: “But that was last year and she’s worked hard to prove her commitment to the royals. She didn’t reach out to Harry when she was in LA in February. This confirmed his worst fears that his last line to his family was over.”
Beatrice and Eugenie also chose not to attend Prince Harry’s Invictus Games event last month. The royals are expected to join King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and other royals on Buckingham Palace balcony during Trooping the Colour on June 15 in absence of cancer-stricken Princess Kate.
