In honor of World Ranger Day, Prince William took a break from his, well, summer break to post a message praising the world’s park rangers for all that they do. But it wouldn’t be a personal statement from the future monarch without his unique signature.

The heartfelt message was posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s Instagram Story earlier this morning. Along with a photo of a park ranger, who is dressed in his official uniform and speaking into a walkie-talkie, the letter reads, “Every day, rangers are risking their lives to stay one step ahead of poachers.”

It continued, “They risk intimidation, violence and even death to protect some of our planet’s most precious wildlife from being poached to extinction. I’ll continue to do all I can to raise awareness of their plight and shine a light on their important work.” Before the message ends, Prince William signs the note with his initial: “W.”

The prince also shared a video about the rangers and their battle against poachers in his Instagram feed. Highlighting this cause should come as no surprise given Prince William is a fierce advocate for protecting the environment.

This is not the first time the senior royal has signed a personal message with his initial. A few weeks back, the Prince of Wales shared his reaction to a soccer game between Team England and Team Slovakia.

Prince William reshared a photo that showed two players from the English men’s soccer team celebrating their big win. At the time, he wrote, “Emotional rollercoaster! Let’s go @england! Quarter finals here we come!” And to make sure everyone (especially royally obsessed fans) knew the message was written by the future king himself, the Prince of Wales signed with his initial: “W.”
