Prince Harry Vacationing With the Royals in Balmoral This Year Is “Wishful Thinking”

Multiple (extra chatty) sources have some fresh royal tea. ☕

Sooo, it looks like Prince Harry *won’t* be joining the rest of the royal family for their annual summer vacation in Balmoral. A friend of King Charles and Queen Camilla’s recently confirmed a trip with Prince Harry is out of the question, telling the Daily Beast, “The idea that Harry and the kids are going to descend on Balmoral this summer is wishful thinking. It’s all just very sad.”

(Note: This friend added that Charles and Harry’s visit following His Majesty’s cancer diagnosis was a “significant step in the right direction,” so at least there’s that!)

Meanwhile, another friend of the family (truly, the royals need to find less chatty acquaintances) made some comments about where things stand between Prince Harry and Prince William at the moment. The vibe? Wills needs to get over it in order to be an effective future monarch.

“Everyone understands that William is absolutely furious with his brother, but ‘absolutely furious’ isn’t a deliverable plan for a king, which William will be, perhaps sooner than he had imagined,” the source noted. “A king not speaking to his brother over an argument about a broken dog bowl, a costume party almost twenty years ago, or who said what about some lip gloss, will make William look petty and ridiculous.”

That! Said!!!! Yet another friend revealed that Prince William still has no interest in seeing his brother—especially amid Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis and recovery.

“Meeting with Harry is the last thing that William or Catherine want or need right now. It’s a fantasy,” they dished. “It’s not about apologies or who said what, it is about protecting his family. Kate is recovering from cancer, and they are avoiding stressful situations.”

Well, this has been…an update!
