Prince Harry declined major invitation after feeling ‘put out’ by Prince William’s role
Prince Harry declined the invitation to his close friend the Duke of Westminster’s wedding after learning of Prince William’s prominent role in the ceremony, according to a source.
Prince Harry felt “put out” that William was offered a prominent role in the marriage of his close friend the Duke of Westminster, leading him to decline the invitation, a source has claimed.
Hugh Grosvenor and his fiancée Olivia Henson are set to tie the knot in what’s expected to be a star-studded ceremony at Chester Cathedral on 7 June.
Grosvenor is a close friend of both the Princes and is godfather to Prince William’s son George, and Harry’s son Archie.
Details about the ceremony have been closely guarded, but the Prince of Wales is reportedly set to be an usher, reflecting their long and close friendship.
But sources told the Mail on Sunday that Harry was “put out” by the decision to hand his brother a key role, having always seen himself as being closer to Grosvenor.
