King Charles and Queen Camilla were anticipating a major royal tour

Cancer-stricken King Charles will not be able to follow through with his future plans this year as his medical team issue a stern warning.

The King and his wife Queen Camilla, who were expected to visit New Zealand, are unlikely to travel, per The Mirror insider.

The monarch is currently receiving weekly treatment for his prostrate cancer, following his February diagnosis. While he returned to public duties in April, he is reportedly not well enough for lengthy stays as his doctors warn against it.

“Naturally, it will be a bitter disappointment on both sides to not have the opportunity for the King and Queen to visit New Zealand, but of course all are aware of the King’s ongoing health and the need for him to pace himself,” the source told the outlet. “It’s very much hoped there will be further opportunities in the future.”

The last royal tour that happened in Down Under was back in 2018 when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to celebrate the Commonwealth Games.

Sources reveal that the Australia leg of the tour will be scaled back to make up for the King’s recovery.

If the visit were to happen, the King may stay in Australia for six days, and travel to Samoa for three days with a two-day gap.

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace has not yet confirmed the travel details of the official tour.
