King Charles Is Reportedly ‘Concerned’ That Prince Harry’s Income Is ‘Drying Up’
Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped away from their royal duties back in 2020.
The two were tired of their treatment in the United Kingdom and wanted a more private life on their own terms in the United States. But with their departure also came the departure of their royal income. Since then, the two have been making money on their own.
If Harry and Meghan had stayed in the royal family, they would never have to worry about making their own money. But the couple knew they ran this risk upon leaving and felt the outcome was better if they continued forward with distancing themselves from the royal family. Harry and Meghan made plenty of money during their first few years in the US because they held interviews, filmed a Netflix documentary, and Harry even wrote a memoir all about life in the royal family.

King Charles is reportedly concerned about Prince Harry’s money situation
If Harry and Meghan had stayed in the royal family, they would never have to worry about making their own money. But the couple knew they ran this risk upon leaving and felt the outcome was better if they continued forward with distancing themselves from the royal family. Harry and Meghan made plenty of money during their first few years in the US because they held interviews, filmed a Netflix documentary, and Harry even wrote a memoir all about life in the royal family.
But now that those paychecks are past them and the two haven’t launched much in the way of new business ventures, royal author Robert Jobson tells Express that the king is reportedly concerned about Harry’s income “drying up.”
“The ‘Harry problem’, as it’s known among Palace staff, continues to plague the king,” Jobson said. “’What worries His Majesty and his top team is what is going to happen when all the money runs out.” Jobson reportedly heard the latter part right from a palace official.
