Kate Middleton cancer update as decision taken on when Princess will return to royal work
A Royal insider has given a major update on the Princess of Wales’ health and revealed that Kate “needs the space and privacy to recover right now”.
Kate Middleton has made “a clear commitment” to her public works despite her recent cancer diagnosis, but a royal aide has insisted she “needs the space and privacy to recover right now”.
The Princess of Wales is “excited” to be at the heart of the launch of a project that could boost the UK economy by £45.5billion a year.
Her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood will today publish a report from eight leading British firms. It will identify five areas that businesses of all sizes can help children under five and the adults around them. Kate last year brought together the Business Taskforce to contribute to her “vision for the future” in the early years development of children.
The report, compiled by consultants Deloitte, details how investing in early childhood could be of huge benefit. The £45.5billion-a-year total includes £12.2billion from equipping people with improved social and emotional skills in early childhood.
A senior royal aide told MailOnline: “The Princess of Wales was the driving force behind the business task force. She has been kept up to date since the inception of the task force and she has read the report and been briefed on it.
“This is a clear commitment she has made throughout her life of public service that this will be focus. That will continue when she returns to work. But we have been really clear that she needs the space and the privacy to recover right now. She will return to work when she has had the green light from doctors.”
