Kate Is Undergoing “Preventative Chemotherapy”—Here’s What That Means
“When the time is right, she will resume her work,” a royal source tells Bazaar
The palace’s statement is not dissimilar from other official statements released since Kate announced her cancer diagnosis in a personal video on March 22.
A royal insider shared similar sentiments to Bazaar at the time: “The princess will return to official duties when she is cleared to do so by her medical team.” They added, “She is in good spirits and is focused on making a full recovery.”
Last week, the palace confirmed that Kate would miss a June 8 rehearsal for Trooping the Colour, the annual ceremonial event that celebrates the British monarch’s birthday. Her typical role as the inspecting officer at the Colonel’s Review will instead go to Lieutenant General James Bucknall, KCB, CBE, according to People.
