The tennis star recently partnered up with Erin Routliffe after her usual partner Jessica Pegula pulled out from the tournament due to injuries and managed to secure a position in the finals. While the intense title match required sheer focus, Gauff committed another double fault, leading to her defeat.

The Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini duo kept Gauff and her New Zealand partner suppressed right from the start as they managed to win the first set easily.
