Coco Gauff and Cameron Brink are founding a mutual admiration society! The WNBA rookie recently modeled an outfit inspired by the American tennis star, drawing attention on social media. While Gauff quickly responded with an Instagram story, she had much more to share in a recent interview.
After securing her third consecutive win at Roland Garros, Coco Gauff expressed her excitement about the budding WNBA star’s praise. “It was really cool. I haven’t had the chance to meet Cameron yet, but I’ve been watching her a lot when she was at Stanford and now seeing her in the WNBA is great. I definitely want to catch a game,” the 20-year-old tennis sensation said, highlighting her admiration for Brink.
Both Gauff and Brink are closely tied to the renowned sportswear giant New Balance. Hoping for a collaborative project, Gauff added, “New Balance is my team. I hope they give her a signature shoe one day, and I can rock it too for my press events. Yeah, she’s awesome.”
Gauff is currently laser-focused on her run for the title in Paris. She recently advanced to the fourth round by defeating Dayana Yastremska 6-2, 6-4. Despite facing ups and downs in her form, Gauff remains a strong role model for young athletes, extending her influence beyond tennis to other sports as well.
