In July, he made headlines after teasing that if he were going to get married, it would be to her.

“I heard you’ve been even out there talking about marriage,” Hudson asked Common. “What’s that about? I mean, I just happened to notice that!”

Common responded by quoting Hudson’s mother that “a man knows what he wants,” and he told the “Dreamgirls” star he was expressing his “true feelings” when he said that “if I should be married, it would be to Jennifer Kate Hudson.
