Prince Harry, Prince William ready to end feud due to ‘pressure’ from King Charles
Royal expert believes that Harry and William could potentially reunite at a UK residence
Prince Harry and Prince William may be on the verge of ending their bitter feud due to “pressure” from King Charles, according to a royal expert.
The Duke of Sussex has been urged by Charles to find a property in the UK so the monarch can spend more time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Royal expert Tom Quinn also suggests that Harry and William could potentially reunite at a UK residence. However, Quinn believes Meghan Markle might not join her husband, given her negative experiences with the Royal Family.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Quihnn said: “King Charles has been putting pressure on Harry to do just this as he is angry that his only relationship with his grandchildren so far is via video calls, which Charles hates.
“William and Kate’s children would spend the weekend at Highgrove and Harry’s children could then easily pop over from their house nearby. This would neatly get round the problem of Meghan – she just wouldn’t need to be there and the children could be whisked back to the States after a week or two.”
Despite Tom’s comments, Harry’s life is in the US and he has previously spoken about the possibility of becoming an American citizen. During an interview with Good Morning America, he was asked whether he had considered applying for citizenship in the States.
Host William Reeve asked Harry: “Do you feel American?” The Duke of Sussex then responded: “Do I feel American? No… I don’t know how I feel.”
When asked what would stop him from applying for American citizenship, Harry replied: “I have no idea. I’m here standing next to these guys. The American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind, but certainly not something that is a priority for me right now.”
The Duchess of Sussex also seems very happy with her life in California and author Omid Scobie suggested she will never again return to the UK. Writing in his bombshell book Endgame, he said Meghan “never felt at home” in the UK and said she “never wants to set foot again in England.”
Meghan didn’t attend King Charles’ Coronation last May and also failed to return with her husband for his Invictus Games service earlier this year. Omid claimed she hasn’t returned as she doesn’t want to “dive back into the soap opera of the court”.
